New Year Resolutions

The new year is upon us. It’s time when people start making new year resolutions which are often broken a month or even a week into the new year. Rather than making resolutions, we should focus on a new year theme. For example, if you want to reduce weight, rather than making a resolution of following some strict diet, you can think of a line or even a one-word theme which will bring you closer to your goal. Few of the theme which come to my mind is ‘A Proactive lifestyle’ or ‘play more’ or ‘move more’; you get the idea.

Running is one such theme which I have taken up as my new year theme. This will automatically help my other new resolutions which I used to make year after year with minor or no progress at all; loose weight and eat healthily. Running increases the body metabolism and, in turn, helps in reducing weight. And to run better, I have to eat better.
